This is a fantastic opportunity for someone who is enthusiastic, resilient, and committed to helping students access learning in a meaningful and empowering way.In this role, you will work closely with teachers, tutors, and multidisciplinary teams to deliver high‑quality, person-centred support — ensuring every student can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.What You’ll Be DoingSupport teachers to deliver engaging, high-quality lessons and provide 1:1 and small-group supportHelp create stimulating, structured learning environments tailored to students with autismContribute to planning and reviewing key student documents (e.g. IEPs, behaviour plans, risk assessments)Promote students’ academic, social and emotional development, encouraging independence and self-regulationSupport morning routines, personal care (where needed) and overall student wellbeingWork collaboratively with teachers, therapists, care staff and families to ensure consistent supportMaintain accurate records and follow all safeguarding, behaviour and health & safety proceduresParticipate in training, meetings and school development activities to support continuous improvementWhat We’re Looking ForExperience working with children or young people with SEND (essential)A genuine passion for supporting students with autism and additional needsAbility to build positive, trusting relationships with students and staffEmotional resilience and confidence in managing challenging behaviourStrong communication and organisational skillsA team player who is proactive, reliable, and reflective (essential)About Us Red Kite is a brand-new independent special educational needs school which will cater for up to 60 pupils with social and emotional health needs.
