Contract Type: Part-Time (Approx. 50% FTE – taught over 2.5 days)Salary: A competitive salary will be offered, commensurate with experience and qualifications.Closing Date: Friday 10 April 2026 (noon)About the RoleLuckley House School is seeking an enthusiastic and committed Teacher of Modern Foreign Languages (French & Spanish) to join our dynamic department on a part-time basis starting September 2026. This role involves teaching French and Spanish across Key Stages 3 and 4, up to and including GCSE level. You will work collaboratively with a supportive team, including the Head of MFL, a Teacher of Spanish, and Foreign Language Assistants, to inspire and engage students in language learning.As a valued member of our community, you will foster confidence and resilience in language acquisition, creating a positive learning environment that motivates students to achieve their best. Your passion for languages and ability to instil enthusiasm for learning will be crucial in helping pupils develop their linguistic skills.Key ResponsibilitiesDeliver high-quality teaching in accordance with departmental schemes of work and policies.Ensure continuity, progression, and differentiation to meet the diverse needs of pupils.Set regular homework to consolidate learning and promote independent study.Collaborate with SEN and support staff to maximise lesson effectiveness.Monitor, assess, and report on pupil progress, ensuring accurate records are maintained.Contribute to the development of the curriculum and participate in departmental activities such as trips, clubs, and competitions.Maintain high professional standards, including safeguarding and health and safety practices.Support the school’s enrichment programme and extra-curricular activities.RequirementsA good honours degree in a relevant subject and a PGCE or equivalent qualification with QTS.Expertise in teaching French and Spanish up to GCSE level.Strong subject knowledge and awareness of curriculum developments.Excellent communication and organisational skills.Ability to inspire and motivate pupils of all abilities, enabling them to reach their full potential.Commitment to fostering a positive and inclusive learning environment.BenefitsLuckley House School offers a warm, welcoming, and supportive environment with excellent opportunities for professional development.
