We strive to create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that fosters academic excellence and personal growth for all students.We are seeking a dedicated and experienced Head of Additional Education Needs Department. This leadership role involves overseeing the development and implementation of support strategies for students with additional educational needs, ensuring they receive tailored assistance to thrive academically and socially.Skills and Qualifications:- Bachelor’s Degree in Education or a related field; advanced qualifications are an advantage- Minimum of 5 years’ experience working with additional education needs in an IB setting- Strong knowledge of IB curriculum requirements and assessment practices- Proven leadership skills with experience managing teams or departments- Ability to design, implement, and evaluate individualized learning plans- Excellent communication skills for collaboration with teachers, parents, students, and external specialists- Proficiency in using educational technology tools relevant to learning supportValues and Attitudes:- Commitment to inclusivity and equity in education – Empathy towards diverse student needs – Collaborative mindset fostering teamwork among staff members – Dedication to continuous professional development – Positive attitude towards challenges as opportunities for growth – Respectful approach when engaging with students, families, colleagues, and community stakeholdersIf you are passionate about making a meaningful difference in the lives of students requiring additional support within an international school context, we encourage you to apply for this rewarding position.
