We are looking for a passionate and committed SEN Teacher who wants more than just a teaching role — someone who wants to build, inspire and transform lives from day one.As an SEN Teacher, you’ll deliver engaging, personalised teaching across the secondary curriculum, supporting pupils with additional needs to achieve meaningful progress. Working closely with the Headteacher and wider team, you’ll help develop a high-quality, inclusive curriculum that builds confidence, supports wellbeing and unlocks potential.This is your opportunity to be part of a growing school, influence practice and make a real difference every single day.As an SEN Teacher, you will:Deliver high-quality teaching across a range of subjects within the secondary curriculum, using resources effectively to secure strong progress and achievement.Work collaboratively with the Headteacher to support curriculum development and take on additional agreed responsibilities to ensure effective delivery.Adapt teaching flexibly to meet individual needs, including teaching beyond your main subject area where required.Promote pupils’ personal development and wellbeing, supporting their social, emotional and academic growth.Uphold safeguarding and professional standards, ensuring compliance with statutory requirements and all school policies.Contribute to the wider life of the school, including administrative responsibilities, specific areas of leadership, and additional duties as required, reviewed through performance management and school improvement processes.About YouYou are:A qualified teacher (UK QTS or equivalent)Passionate about inclusive education and supporting pupils with SENCreative, adaptable and able to tailor learning to individual needsA strong communicator who builds positive relationships with pupils and colleaguesMotivated to contribute to a growing school and shape its futureAbout UsAvonside School is a brand-new specialist school in Bristol for young people with SEMH, autism, and associated needs.
