Position: Teacher of Music (Primary)Start: August 2026The Position:We are seeking to appoint a well-qualified and passionate Teacher of Music (Primary) who will craft and deliver an inspiring musical journey for our youngest learners. The successful candidate will place students at the heart of their practice, bringing learning to life through practical, creative experiences, underpinned by strong subject knowledge that engages, challenges, and inspires.Our Primary Department takes pride in its innovative and forward-thinking approach, guided by our Learner Profile and an enquiry-based philosophy. Here, curiosity is nurtured, creativity is celebrated, and every child is encouraged to find their voice.Our Music Department is growing in both strength and ambition. This role offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to that momentum, shaping high-quality teaching and learning, setting ambitious standards, and helping to build clear, sustainable systems that support continued growth and excellence.This year, the school has made significant investment in its instrumental provision. We have appointed a Head of Brass and Woodwind, alongside dedicated violin and cello teachers, with plans to further expand through the future appointment of a Head of Strings and a Head of Keyboard. Alongside this, we are launching a Year 4 orchestral project, where all students in the year group will learn from specialist teachers and have the opportunity to take instruments home to practise, fostering both independence and a lifelong love of music.We are also developing an expanding instrumental programme, and we are looking for a collaborative educator who enjoys working closely with colleagues to grow and enrich this initiative.
