The successful candidate will bring a strong ethical foundation and a nuanced understanding of the diverse emotional and psychological needs of pupils within an international school context. This includes sensitivity to the lived experiences of pupils from a wide range of ethnic, cultural, and social backgrounds, as well as an awareness of the particular challenges associated with expatriate life.A secure and up-to-date understanding of safeguarding within educational settings is essential. The postholder will be expected to work confidently within statutory and school-based safeguarding frameworks, contributing to early identification, intervention, and ongoing support for pupils.As a Psychotherapeutic Counsellor, you will play a central role in promoting a culture of wellbeing across both Primary and Secondary phases. This will include delivering high-quality therapeutic support, contributing to whole school approaches to mental health, and working collaboratively with pastoral, safeguarding, and senior leadership teams. The role requires a proactive, relational approach, supporting not only individual pupils but also the wider school community through consultation, guidance, and preventive work.About youThe successful candidate will demonstrate a strong commitment to upholding the highest standards of professional practice and to ensuring full compliance with the school’s policies and procedures.
