Bettws Lifehouse is a family run, independent business and has an excellent reputation, oversubscribed with pupils waiting for places to become available.Due to the retirement of the current Headteacher, We are now seeking to appoint a new exceptional Headteacher to lead the next phase of development at our newer school, in Shrewsbury, Shropshire. The school is set on an incredible site with ample permanent buildings and 15 acres of outdoor area, including woodland.Kingsland Grange is a 100-place, co-educational setting for pupils aged 5–19 with SEMH and complex needs in this area. Many have diagnosis of ASD, ADHD and nearly all have some experiences of trauma. However, our USP is providing for able pupils who are aspirational for their futures. Since opening this site in 2022, Kingsland Grange has established many strong foundations. Most of our pupils are settled and thriving, with around 90% of families reporting positive experiences. Outcomes are strong, and the school offers a genuinely ambitious and inclusive curriculum, including a wide range of qualification pathways from Entry Level through to GCSEs and A Levels—something that is rare within the sector.The school was judged Good at its most recent Ofsted inspection, reflecting the many strengths already in place.As a family owned and run business, you have great opportunity to be inventive, creative and influential at an executive level. As Headteacher at Kingsland Grange you will:· Provide strategic and operational leadership that creates a positive school culture throughout· Ensure the highest standards of safeguarding, wellbeing and pastoral care· Lead the ongoing development of your school, ensuring strong academic outcomes and a rich, safe and inclusive pupil experience· Be confident your school provides excellence in teaching, learning and assessment across all ages and abilities· Build, develop and motivate a cohesive staff team, aligned to clear values and high expectations· Oversee effective school operations, including financial sustainability and resource management· Be a visible and approachable leader, communicating and engaging well with all stakeholders· Contribute to the wider growth and development of the organisation, including further development of the company and other Bettws provisionsIt will be advantageous if you can show· Leadership experience as a Headteacher or Deputy in a similar setting· An inspirational and authentic leader with excellent communication skills· Ability to build trusting relationships and lead high‑performing teams· Confident understanding of school systems, compliance and safeguarding requirements· A strong track record of delivering high-quality educational outcomes· Resilient, adaptable and forward‑thinking approach to leadership· NPQH (completed or actively working towards)· Experience or strong knowledge of
