With nearly 500 students participating—approximately one third of the school population—the programme offers inclusive, high-quality provision across both grassroots and competitive pathways. Opportunities are available from as young as five years old, with structured competitive teams from Year 5 through to Year 13, ensuring all students are welcomed and supported according to their interests and ability.The successful candidate will lead one of the most comprehensively resourced school football programmes available. The role includes responsibility for a coaching team of eight staff, ranging from former professional players to coaches at earlier stages of their development. This presents an outstanding opportunity for an experienced leader to shape, develop, and further enhance an already highly successful programme.The post-holder will have overall responsibility for the strategic oversight, coordination, and day-to-day management of the football programme, acting as the primary point of contact for all football-related matters. The school currently fields seven teams in the local league, requiring significant organisational oversight to ensure appropriate staffing, scheduling, and player availability. The role demands flexibility, including the ability to step into coaching duties when required due to staff absence.Weekend fixtures during term time form a core part of the programme and are an expected element of the role.This is a particularly exciting time to join BSB, as the school is in the final stages of securing an exclusive partnership with a Premier League football club. The role will include responsibility for managing this partnership and overseeing two weeks of partner-led football camps each yearLine Managed: Department Leader of Enrichment Sport and Expeditions.Major Role: To provide professional leadership and management of one of the Tier one sports to secure high quality learning and teaching, the effective use of resources and improving standards of learning and achievement.Direct Reports: Enrichment coachesResponsibilities:Coaching – Sport Managers will:Coaching year round within the enrichment programme.
