Do you believe that learning the language of the host country is the key to a student’s sense of belonging?For our Dutch department, we are looking for a teacher of Dutch to join our diverse and vibrant team of 14 teachers. We teach Dutch to every student in the IB Middle Years Programme (MYP) and the Diploma Programme (DP), and we are looking for someone who truly embraces the wide range of cultural identities and linguistic backgrounds represented across our student population. Our Dutch department brings together specialists in both language acquisition (NT2) and language and literature (eerste en tweedegraads docenten) who collaborate to deliver a curriculum rooted in inquiry and concept-based learning.We are looking for a strong team player who is open to learning together as a team and supporting the ongoing development of our IB curriculum. If you are a team player who values creative freedom and enjoys tailoring lessons to the unique cultural and linguistic backgrounds of your students, we look forward to hearing from you.What you will do:As a key member of our Dutch department, you will deliver high-quality instruction and contribute to a curriculum that celebrates diversity and academic excellence. Delivering IB lessons using inquiry-based approaches and differentiation strategies.Maintaining high standards of student behaviour and learning while monitoring, assessing, and reporting on student progress. Collaborating with the Dutch team and wider staff to plan and refine the curriculum.Communicating effectively with parents and the school community.
