We are looking for a dynamic, creative English teacher from September 2026 until June 2027 who will flourish in a supportive and professional environment. You should be a friendly, open, and proactive teacher who enjoys creating high-quality lessons, that will give students the opportunity to achieve their very best and gain a real linguistic edge. We are willing to consider both experienced and new teachers, as attitude is the most important quality for us! The Cambridge English School in Sapri is a small, friendly, family-run language school, the first of its kind here – a popular, quiet beach resort in south-west Italy approximately two hours south of Naples, with direct trains to all major cities including Rome. This successful school is an official Cambridge Exam Preparation Centre – another first for the area. However for this post the successful candidate will be required to teach classes for both Trinity and Cambridge exams. 80 hours per month will be offered and guaranteed to the successful candidate, hours are usually Mon-Fri between 10am-9pm, the school serves a mixture of young learners, teenagers and adult learners over the full range of levels. Degree Required Applicants should have one of the following required qualifications: Cambridge CELTA, Cambridge CELTA online, Trinity CertTESOL, Cambridge CELTYL, BA TEFL, BA TESOL, TEFL Certificate, ESL Certificate, TESOL Certificate, Trinity TEYL, Cambridge DELTA, Trinity DipTESOL, MA TEFL Teaching experience: 3 years Native level English speaker preferred Your current location: Australia, Ireland, Italy, Malta, Saint Kitts and Nevis, United Kingdom, United States Qualifications Cambridge CELTA CELTA, Cert.TESOL, or recognised equivalent essential (minimum 120 hours and online courses will not be considered) and education to degree level is required. Additional qualifications e.g. YL, DELTA, Cambridge Examiner, would be a major advantage as would experience of Cambridge and Trinity exams however, all applications will be considered based on their individual merit. Knowledge of Italian is an advantage but not essential. You must be available for the full duration of the contract from September 2025 until June 2026 . Salary and Benefits Teachers earn 12 euros an hour (after tax) which is well over Italy’s going rate – as tax contributions are paid on your behalf by the school. A temporary contract will be offered to the successful candidate with the possibility of renewal for the following academic year, based on performance. Teachers have plenty of free time and don’t usually work weekends although on occasion some flexibility may be required. Free accommodation based in a hotel is provided, which includes bills, free access to WI-FI and cleaning, etc. Free breakfast is also included as well as access to cooking and laundry facilities. The role is an excellent opportunity for someone who would enjoy working in a small, quiet, friendly town and would also be perfect for someone who is looking to learn or develop their Italian!
