We are currently seeking a Sixth Form Pastoral Support Worker to join our dedicated team. This role offers an exciting opportunity to support the wellbeing and personal development of our sixth form students, helping them navigate their academic journey and prepare for their futures.Position: Sixth Form Pastoral Support Worker Salary: Scale 5 (£29,816.06 to £31,149.08)Start date: July to September 2026Contract: Full-Time, Term time only1 Year Fixed term maternity coverSkills and Qualifications:- Strong communication skills with the ability to build positive relationships with young people- Empathy, patience, and understanding towards student needs- Ability to work effectively as part of a team- Basic organisational skills to manage daily pastoral tasks- Willingness to learn and develop new skills related to student welfare- A genuine interest in supporting young people’s emotional health and wellbeingValues and Attitudes:- Commitment to promoting equality, diversity, and inclusion within the school community- Respectful, approachable, and trustworthy manner when working with students – Positive attitude towards challenges with resilience and adaptability – Dedication to maintaining confidentiality at all times – Passion for contributing positively to the lives of young people The academy supports progression for career development for staff, with many opportunities in the school for future progression.
