Founded upon Harrow School’s enduring educational legacy and our global network of recognised thought leaders in best practice and innovation, the Academy empowers members to extend themselves and one another for professional excellence and career advancement.AISL Academy is looking for an experienced and motivated Education Programme Leader to join the AISL Academy Team and lead the development and delivery of the Leadership Programmes, and take an active part in the curation of the development of new learning pathways and course content for the Academy.Role OverviewAs Education Programme Leader, you will lead the design, development and delivery of high-quality professional learning programmes for educators and school leaders across AISL Harrow Schools. You will be responsible for strengthening the AA’s leadership development suite of programmes that includes:(i) Aspiring Heads Programme (AHP)(ii) NPQH(iii) IPCSL suite of courses(iv) NPQ suite of courses(v) Middle Leaders course(vi) Teacher leaders, middle leaders and senior leaders.The Associate Director for Professional Learning (Education Programmes) will also be responsible for oversight of strategically important programmes that include initial teacher education (PGCE/QTS) and ECT arrangements. The postholder will also support the wider AISL Academy programme portfolio, ensuring continued interest and participation across the AISL Harrow Schools group.The role requires an experienced school leader and educator who understands school improvement, teacher development and leadership learning, and who can translate research and best practice into practical, engaging and impactful programmes. A key part of the role will be to ensure the programmes flourish year on year by increasing engagement, supporting candidates and ensuring that learning is meaningfully applied in school contexts. In addition, he/she will contribute to wider strategic AISL Academy educational initiatives, including supporting the AISL Future Ready strategic priorities across AISL Harrow Schools with effective professional learning programmes.It will be necessary for the postholder to gain an understanding of AISL Harrow Schools and to represent the AA at key events across the globe meaning travel is necessary.Working directly with the Director of AISL Academy and the wider AA team, the Education Programme Leader will support internal school priorities while also strengthening external partnerships, developing new approaches to professional learning and enhancing the visibility and brand identity of AISL Academy.Key ResponsibilitiesLead the design, development and delivery of AISL Academy’s leadership programmes.Ensure leadership programmes are research-informed, practical and aligned with the needs of AISL schools.Facilitate leadership development sessions, workshops and professional learning communities.Organise and manage the programme learning environment, ensuring candidates, trainers, mentors and
