In May 2022, the school was judged Outstanding by Ofsted and has achieved Advanced Autism Accreditation from the National Autistic Society (NAS).About the RoleWe are looking for a dynamic, committed and enthusiastic Humanities Teacher to join our team from September 2026.This role will be primarily based at our Lower School in Woodside Park, teaching predominantly Key Stage 3, with some teaching at Key Stage 2 and Key Stage 4 as required. There may also be future opportunities to work across other campuses, including the Upper School, depending on the needs of the school.Key responsibilities include:Delivering engaging and differentiated Humanities lessons across History, Geography and Religious EducationTeaching predominantly KS3 initially, with some KS2 and KS4 teachingPlanning and adapting lessons to meet a wide range of neurodivergent learning needsSupporting students’ academic, social and emotional developmentContributing to curriculum development and cross-curricular opportunitiesStaying abreast of changes in your curriculum area and implementing these changesReviewing and rewriting aspects of the curriculumWorking with other teachers to strengthen curriculum links between subjects Managing and directing teaching assistants This is a fantastic opportunity to be part of a forward-thinking school community where wellbeing, individuality and achievement are central to everything we do.About YouWe would love to hear from you if you:Essential:● Hold Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)● Have experience teaching Humanities subjects at secondary level● Have strong subject knowledge across History, Geography and/or Religious Education● Are confident teaching across a range of key stages, particularly KS3● Are able to plan and deliver engaging, differentiated lessons● Have a commitment to inclusive education and student wellbeing● Are able to build positive relationships and manage behaviour effectivelyDesirable:● Experience teaching GCSE Humanities subjects● Experience working with neurodivergent young people or within a SEND setting● Knowledge of Autism-friendly or trauma-informed approaches● Experience teaching or supporting KS2 learners● Willingness to contribute to wider school lifeExperience in a specialist setting is desirable but not essential, full training will be provided.Why Work with Us?● A warm, supportive and collaborative staff team● An independent school calendar with increased holidays● Excellent professional development opportunities, including SEN
