Christ’s Hospital is unique. We are strikingly unlike any other independent school in the UK, with a richly diverse pupil body, in terms of ethnicity and socio-economic background. In recognition of this, and of the school’s work in Performing Arts, we were recently awarded ‘Independent School of the Year 2024/2025’ as well as ‘Performing Arts School of the Year 2024 / 2025’at the Independent Schools’Awards. We are seeking to appoint an enthusiastic and talented Teacher of Drama to support our excellent work in this area from September 2026. The successful applicant will have a passion for academic excellence and a commitment to nurturing the next generation of theatre makers. This post offers the opportunity to teach Drama to IGCSE and A Level. As Christ’s Hospital is an independent, charitable school, a PGCE is not necessary for teaching and, as such, we would consider appropriately well-qualified graduates and unqualified teachers who are interested in the profession. The successful applicant will be suitably qualified and capable with an enthusiasm for the teaching of Drama in a large co-educational boarding school. Innovation, flair and vision are highly valued, as is the ability to inspire pupils both in and out of the classroom.
