Design Technology TechnicianGrade 3 SCP 6 – 11, £25,989- £28,142 per annumActual Salary: £22,255 – £24,863 (dependent on continuous service & experience)Full time, 36 hours 40 minutes per weekTerm Time only plus 5 daysPermanent We are seeking an enthusiastic and energetic Design Technology Technician to join our vibrant Technology Department at an outstanding school. This is an exciting and varied role, providing technical support to both staff and pupils and contributing to a creative and dynamic learning environment. You will play a key part in supporting teaching and learning by:Preparing materials and equipment for lessonsAssisting teachers and students in practical classroom sessionsMaintaining equipment and ensuring compliance with health and safety standardsSupporting a range of design and technology disciplines We are looking for someone who:Holds an NVQ Level 2 (or higher) in a related subject, or has equivalent experienceHas experience using engineering equipment and machinery, including centre lathes, pillar drills, band and circular sawsHas knowledge of, or experience with, CAD/CAM systems (or a willingness to learn)Understands health and safety requirements within a D&T environmentIs confident using ICT to support tasks and record-keepingDemonstrates strong communication and interpersonal skills, building positive relationships with staff and studentsCan work effectively both independently and as part of a team Working for The Blue Coat School means that you would be part of the Cranmer Education Trust, a successful, growing Trust which prides itself on looking after its people, offering a high level of support and access to expertise.
