About the RoleWe are seeking an exceptional and ambitious educational leader to join our thriving and successful school as a Phase Leader in Primary. This is an exciting opportunity for an experienced middle or senior leader who is passionate about driving high standards of teaching, learning, achievement, and wellbeing across a phase of the school.The successful candidate will play a pivotal role in shaping the strategic direction of their phase, leading teams of teachers and support staff to ensure every child achieves their full potential. Working closely with the Senior Leadership Team, the Director of Phase will champion excellence in teaching and learning, curriculum development, safeguarding, inclusion, and pastoral care.As a large and growing school, we are committed to developing future leaders and welcome applications from candidates who are eager to make a significant impact within a dynamic international environment.Key ResponsibilitiesStrategic LeadershipLead and manage a designated phase within the primary school.Support the implementation of the school’s vision, values, and strategic priorities.Drive continuous school improvement through effective monitoring, evaluation, and action planning.Contribute to whole-school development and decision-making as a member of the leadership team.Teaching and LearningEnsure consistently high-quality teaching and learning across the phase.Monitor pupil progress and attainment, using data effectively to drive improvement.Lead coaching, mentoring, and professional development for staff.Promote innovative and evidence-informed teaching practices.Curriculum LeadershipSupport the delivery and development of a broad, balanced, and engaging curriculum.Ensure curriculum implementation meets the needs of all learners.Monitor curriculum impact and standards across year groups.Pastoral LeadershipFoster a positive, inclusive, and nurturing learning environment.Lead on behaviour, attendance, wellbeing, and safeguarding within the phase.Build strong partnerships with parents and the wider school community.Staff Leadership and ManagementLine manage year group leaders and teaching and support staff as appropriate.Conduct performance management processes and support staff development.Promote a culture of collaboration, accountability, and professional growth.Person SpecificationEssential Qualifications and ExperienceBachelor’s degree and recognised teaching qualification.Proven successful experience as a middle or senior leader within a primary school.Strong understanding of the English National Curriculum.Demonstrable impact on improving teaching, learning, and pupil outcomes.Experience leading and developing teams.Excellent interpersonal, communication, and organisational skills.DesirableExperience working within an international school setting.NPQ qualification or equivalent leadership training.Experience of school inspection frameworks, including ADEK, BSO, or similar.What We OfferA supportive and ambitious leadership team.High-quality professional development and career progression opportunities.An outstanding and engaged school community.Competitive salary and benefits package.The opportunity to make a significant impact in a leading Abu Dhabi school.Start DateWe recognise that exceptional candidates may have existing commitments and therefore can offer flexibility with the start date for the right candidate.
