General Responsibilities: • Deliver English-medium instruction aligned with the school curriculum • Promote student development, well-being, and positive learning behaviours • Apply modern pedagogy, assessment methods, and educational technology • Maintain professional ethics in accordance with Teachers’ Council of Thailand
(Khurusapha) standards • Collaborate effectively with colleagues, parents, and the wider school community Working with Adolescent Learners: Assumption College is an all-boys secondary school serving students in Grades 7–12 (M1–M6). Our students are energetic, capable, and enthusiastic young men who
benefit from teachers who can establish positive relationships while maintaining clear expectations and consistent routines. Successful candidates will be confident working with adolescent learners and able to foster a structured, supportive, and engaging classroom environment. Applicants should demonstrate the ability
to motivate students, promote personal responsibility and respect, and effectively address the typical behavioural challenges that may arise when working with teenage boys. Minimum Requirements: • Bachelor’s degree or higher in a relevant field • Eligibility for Khurusapha professional licensing
or a temporary teaching permit Desired Qualifications and Experience: • At least one (1) year of recent teaching experience, preferably at the secondary level • Demonstrated cultural awareness, respect for, and ability to work effectively within Thai cultural norms and
practices • Secondary-level teaching experience preferred • Strong classroom management and student engagement skills • Ability to work effectively with adolescent boys in a structured school environment • Demonstrated ability to address behavioural issues calmly, fairly, and consistently • Positive,
professional, and relationship-focused approach to student discipline • Strong communication and interpersonal skills • At least one verifiable professional reference, preferably from a direct supervisor • Computer literate, with familiarity in Microsoft Word, PowerPoint, file-sharing platforms, interactive whiteboards, Google for
Education applications (e.g., Google Classroom), and Apple devices and educational technologies (e.g., iPad, MacBook). Experience integrating technology effectively into teaching and learning is highly desirable, as the school is actively developing toward Apple Distinguished School recognition. • Experience preparing students
for international examinations (e.g., SAT) is an advantage • Familiarity with English Programs in Thailand and the Thai curriculum is desirable • Preference may be given to Native English Speakers (NES), particularly those holding citizenship from Australia, Canada, Ireland, New
Zealand, the United Kingdom, or the United States. However, all suitably qualified applicants with strong English-language proficiency and relevant teaching experience are encouraged to apply. Non-NES applicants should include evidence of English proficiency with their application, such as TOEIC, TOEFL,
IELTS, or equivalent standardized test results.
