Design Technology Technician13 hours per week, term time onlyGrade 4: £7,786 per annum (inclusive of Crawley Market Supplement) for 13 hours per week, term time only.The working days/hours for this post are 8.30am – 3.30pm Monday and TuesdayWe are seeking a reliable and enthusiastic Design Technology Technician to support our busy DT department. This position would particularly suit someone looking for a fulfilling part-time role that utilises their practical experience and problem-solving abilities.You will work alongside teaching staff and our other Technician to prepare materials, maintain equipment, and ensure our workshops remain safe, organised, and ready for students to develop their creativity and technical skills.Key ResponsibilitiesPreparing materials and resources for lessons.Maintaining tools, machinery, and workshop equipment.Assisting with stock control and ordering supplies.Ensuring a safe and tidy working environment.Supporting teachers and students during practical activities where appropriate.What We’re Looking ForGood practical and DIY skills.Experience working with tools, machinery, wood, metal, or similar materials.A methodical and organised approach.An understanding of health and safety practices.A friendly, patient manner and the ability to work as part of a teamPrevious school experience is not essential.
