Good morning. My name is Mohammed Mekkawy. I am 37 years old and from Cairo, Egypt.
Throughout my life, I have worked with art across many mediums. I completed my IGCSE Art O Level and AS Level courses with the highest marks. Following my achievement, my art teacher asked me to serve as her teaching assistant for a full course, and I gladly accepted.
I then earned my Bachelor’s degree in Architecture. My graduation thesis focused on teaching and learning in the first-year design module – specifically, how to make it more dynamic in order to foster each student’s individual design language, supported by readings in cognitive studies.
I have also completed certificates from Oxford University’s Department for Continuing Education in the Philosophy of Knowledge and Theory of Mind, with more courses in progress.
Later, I gained professional experience in architectural design, fashion design, and project management. Currently, I am a multidisciplinary artist, working primarily with painting on canvas and paper using various mediums. My current artistic exploration, which recently led me on a research trip to a mountain village in Nepal, focuses on the current climate change challenges to communities.
