At St George’s, our SENDCo and Deputy SENDCo oversee learning support across the EYFS, Key Stage One and Key Stage Two. This is a rare opportunity to support SEND provision in a high-achieving school where all pupils are both challenged and supported to reach their full potential.Main duties will include designing and delivering targeted interventions for groups or individuals including responsible for a support set, contributing to the development, implementation and review of individual education plans, providing professional guidance to colleagues, supporting with the EHCP process, liaising with parents and out outside agencies, and follow up on children who have been raised as a ‘cause for concern’.It is expected that the successful candidate will have QTS and a proven track record of working with children with Special Educational Needs in a primary setting, in addition to an up to date understanding of the SEND code of practice.For Safer Recruitment purposes all applicants must complete an application form.
