About the role:The Director of Educational Technology is a whole school strategic leadership role responsible for shaping, driving and sustaining St. Paul’s digital vision. This role ensures that technology and artificial intelligence meaningfully enhance teaching, learning and school operations, while fostering a digitally confident, responsible and future ready community. Reporting to the Head on all educational matters and to the General Manager on technology infrastructure and operations, the Director leads the development and execution of a coherent Digital and AI Strategy aligned with the School’s mission, values and long-term priorities. At St. Paul’s, we believe that great educational leadership remains connected to the classroom; therefore, this role includes a limited teaching allocation in Digital Literacy. Teaching and Learning • Partner with school leadership and teachers to embed technology and AI meaningfully and responsibly into teaching and learning Technology Infrastructure and Systems • Ensure reliable, secure and scalable technology infrastructure and systems that support both learning and operations • Oversee the performance and continuous improvement of IT services and platforms Leadership • Lead and develop the IT and Educational Technology teams, ensuring clarity of priorities, accountability and high performance Community and Capability • Build digital and AI capability across staff, students and parents • Position the School as a leader in responsible and innovative use of technology Financial and Governance Responsibility • Lead strategic investment in technology, ensuring sustainability and impact • Ensure compliance with data protection, security and ethical
