Job Overview We are looking for a flexible, innovative, creative and enthusiastic teacher for the bright and enquiring young minds of our KiTa children: Nursery (1-to-3 years old) and Kindergarten (3-to-6 years old). Located in Hannover, our bilingual KiTa educates the youngest of our students, under the same roof as our primary and secondary school. Our KiTa’s bilingual concept is based on the principles of immersion, following the method of One Person, One Language. Towards this end, all group rooms have one English speaking educator, one German speaking educator and a third educator (language determined based on native level). This position is initially limited to a two- year contract, afterwards there is a possibility of a permanent contract extension. Role Description We are looking for a highly qualified Early Years Educator to join our team.Schemes of work are based on the combined objectives of the German curriculum for Lower Saxony, and the Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) curriculum from the UK. Experience of having taught bilingual or trilingual learners for a few years may be an advantage, but is not essential. Knowledge of German is not a necessary requirement, but a willingness to learn the basics while living here will be important.
