YES USA is hiring Teacher/Activity Counselors for our summer programs for international teenagers in NYC, Los Angeles, and Miami. In this role, you will teach English classes and supervise extracurricular activities and sightseeing trips, creating an engaging, immersive experience for our students. This is a fast-paced environment with long days out exploring each city’s top tourist attractions, as well as traditional classroom ESL instruction. Details of Position YES USA is hiring teachers for a summer camp for international teenagers. Teacher/Activity Counselors lead English classes and supervise activities and excursions, creating a fun, immersive experience. Housing is available in shared university dorms if desired. Responsibilities Teaching Teach engaging English lessons using the YES USA curriculum Track attendance and student progress by submitting student evaluation forms at the end of the week Create a collaborative English classroom environment for students to practice speaking Activities & Excursions Lead and supervise sightseeing trips and on-campus activities Share local culture and information with students Ensure student safety and participation during extracurricular activities General Support Help with airport arrivals and check-in Act in Loco Parentis and support the students’ general well-being Help with program setup and closing tasks Attend meetings and training Requirements Bachelors degree (Related degree preferred) ESL certification (e.g. CELTA, TEFL, TESOL) At least one year of experience teaching teens Native-like English fluency Legal authorization to work in the U.S. Ideal Candidate Connects well with teenagers Energetic, responsible, and organized Comfortable leading groups and excursions Flexible and calm under pressure Schedule A full, intensive schedule (teaching + activities) 1 day off per week plus some afternoons off Qualifications BA TESOL Bachelor’s Degree TEFL, TESOL, CELTA etc. Salary and Benefits Housing is available in a shared dormitory style residence hall Pay is determined based on experience, qualifications, program location, and contract length. Residential: Pay is bi-weekly from $996-$1,466 Commuter: Pay is bi-weekly from $1,620 – $1,980
