Exam Grading and Content Manager Reference number: JR254694 Location: Remote Working pattern: Full Time, 37.5 hours per week Contract Type: Permanent Number of roles: 1 Salary: £37,581 – £45,686 per annum We are looking for a Exam Grading and Content Manager to join our team. Role summary The Exam Grading and Content Manager plays a central role in protecting the quality, consistency and credibility of the Kaplan Test of English (KTE), Kaplan’s cloud-based English proficiency assessment. This role combines people leadership, grading quality assurance and content development and staff training, ensuring that scoring standards stay robust while item, content development and teacher-support projects are delivered efficiently and to a high standard. What you’ll bring to the role This role is likely to suit someone who combines operational rigour with strong assessment judgement and a practical approach to content development: Degree or equivalent professional experience in English language teaching (e.g., Cambridge DELTA, Triniti TESOL Diploma), applied linguistics, language assessment, educational measurement or a related field. Strong experience in speaking and/or writing assessment grading within English language testing. Experience managing graders, assessors or other distributed teams, including freelancers working remotely. Experience leading standardisation, calibration or other quality assurance activity for human scoring. Experience contributing to item writing, item review, item revision or broader assessment content development. Ability to manage multiple projects at once and keep work moving in a structured, timely way. Confidence creating digital learning or training materials and facilitating remote workshops or meetings. Strong communication skills, sound judgement and the ability to work well with a wide range of stakeholders. Excellent administrative discipline, including tracking work completed and managing purchase order processes. High levels of accuracy, professionalism, confidentiality and commitment to fairness.
