(VIS) is seeking a qualified and passionate computer science teacher.

This teacher must be able to teach a range of subjects, including Coding, Computer Science, Robotics, and work with students in Grades 7-12.

The school currently uses Raspberry Pi, Arduino, 3D printers, and machine learning, so being able to use Python is of most importance.

Being able to problem solve both software and hardware issues on MacOS and Windows, and being comfortable with building physical devices are key components of this position.

While the school has access to a range of curriculum resources, we are seeking someone who has vision and the ability to build the curriculum across middle and high school.

VIS is a small school that believes in even smaller class sizes and a wide variety of options.

New faculty should be prepared to teach a broad range of topics and to change topics from year to year as we balance the talents of our curriculum teams with the needs of students.

All VIS teachers are responsible for cultivating a Christ-centered educational environment where students are encouraged to grow in character, faith, and academic ability.

Teachers are expected to plan and implement thoughtful lessons that engage students and support them in developing their God-given potential.

Qualifications : A minimum of a Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in a program where the language of instruction is English is required.

Candidates must also have either completed a teacher licensure program in an English-speaking country or have at least five years of teaching experience in the relevant subject area.

Teachers at VIS are expected to support the mission of Christian education by integrating a Biblical worldview into their teaching and interactions with students.

They should demonstrate professional integrity, a strong work ethic, and serve as positive role models for students.

An active Christian faith, evidenced through personal spiritual growth and participation in a church community, is essential.

Teachers are also expected to communicate effectively and collaborate well within the school community.
