This is an exciting opportunity to play a pivotal role in the strategic development of Uppingham School’s SEND provision, ensuring that pupils with both diagnosed and undiagnosed barriers to learning can fulfil their full potential.As Head of Learning Support & SENCO, you will report directly to the Deputy Head Academic and be responsible for the leadership and management of all aspects of Uppingham’s SEND provision, working closely with heads of departments, teachers, Housemasters and Housemistresses and the School’s pastoral team.You will contribute to the training and development of teachers so that the needs of SEND pupils are provided for in the classroom. You will also work with the Admissions department concerning prospective pupils with SEND and be responsible for the effective management of the department.As SENCO, you will also be responsible for all examination access arrangements, working with the School’s appointed Educational Psychologist and the Exams Officer.If you have the vision, energy, and compassion to develop a department which supports the needs of SEND pupils to the highest standards possible we would be delighted to hear from you.What we offer:When you join us, you become part of a community that appreciates and supports its team members.
