Head of Science

Al Rabeeh Academy is seeking an experienced and passionate Head of Science to join our dynamic, high-performing team from August 2026.As Head of Science in an international British curriculum school, you will play a pivotal leadership role in driving high-quality teaching and learning across Key Stages 3, 4 and 5, including GCSE and A Level Biology, Chemistry and Physics. You will lead, manage and develop a team of Science teachers, setting clear expectations, providing coaching and professional development, and ensuring consistently high standards of teaching, learning and student outcomes across the department. You will oversee curriculum planning, assessment, data analysis and departmental improvement planning, fostering a collaborative, accountable and high-performing team culture.You will promote a strong STEM ethos across the school, encouraging practical, inquiry-based learning and cross-curricular collaboration, while ensuring a safe, well-resourced and engaging laboratory environment that supports innovation and academic excellence.You will be responsible for shaping the strategic direction of the department, supporting and coaching staff, and embedding engaging, concept-driven teaching that develops students’ analytical thinking and problem-solving skills.
