We’re looking for an organised, proactive and people‑focused HR Officer to deliver an exceptional HR service at the heart of our school community. This is a pivotal role, ensuring smooth HR operations, impeccable compliance, and a warm, professional first point of contact for staff.You’ll play a central role in supporting colleagues, shaping a positive staff experience, and ensuring our school continues to operate safely, smoothly and professionally. If you thrive on accuracy, care about people, and enjoy varied, meaningful work, this is the role for you.What You’ll Lead:Safer Recruitment & Compliance: Own the Single Central Register and all pre‑employment checks, ensuring we meet ISI, legal and GDST standards every day.End‑to‑End Recruitment: Partner with the DFO to deliver seamless recruitment, onboarding and induction.HR Administration Excellence: Keep employee records accurate, secure and up to date across all systems.Staff Support: Be the go‑to person for HR queries, policies and day‑to‑day guidance.Operational HR: Support probation, absence management, appraisals, employee relations and key HR processes.Audit & Inspection Readiness: Help maintain a compliant, inspection‑ready HR environment at all times.About the SchoolRoyal High School Bath is a highly rewarding place to work and is part of the national network of GDST schools dedicated to leadership in girls’ education.
