China International School is seeking a dedicated and experienced Secondary Mathematics Teacher to deliver high-quality mathematics instruction through the British curriculum in an international Chinese school environment in Thailand. The successful candidate will teach secondary mathematics while also supporting students’

Academic English development within mathematics lessons. The role requires a teacher who can combine strong subject knowledge with effective language-support strategies for multilingual learners. The teacher will contribute to a positive, academically focused learning environment that supports student achievement, critical

thinking, and international-mindedness. Key Responsibilities Teaching & Learning Deliver engaging and effective Mathematics lessons aligned with the British curriculum framework. Teach secondary-level mathematics, including lower and upper secondary content as assigned. Integrate Academic English for Mathematics into lessons to support

English language development alongside mathematical understanding. Differentiate instruction to support students with varying English proficiency levels and learning needs. Use a range of teaching strategies including active learning, scaffolding, modelling, and formative assessment. Develop students’ mathematical reasoning, problem-solving, and analytical

skills. Prepare lesson plans, teaching resources, homework, and assessments in line with school expectations. Maintain accurate records of student progress and achievement. Assessment & Progress Monitoring Design and administer formative and summative assessments. Track and monitor student progress using school

assessment systems. Provide timely and constructive feedback to students and parents. Support students preparing for internal and external examinations where applicable. Academic English Support Explicitly teach key mathematical vocabulary and academic language structures. Support students in reading mathematical texts, interpreting

questions, and explaining reasoning in English. Promote confidence in mathematical discussion, presentation, and written responses. Classroom & School Responsibilities Maintain a positive and well-managed classroom environment. Uphold school policies, safeguarding expectations, and professional standards. Participate in meetings, professional development, school

events, and parent conferences. Collaborate with colleagues across departments to support whole-school initiatives. Qualifications & Experience Bachelor’s degree in Mathematics, Education, or a related field. Recognised teaching qualification (PGCE, QTS, or equivalent preferred). Experience teaching Mathematics within a British curriculum

environment preferred. Experience working with EAL/ESL learners or multilingual classrooms is highly desirable. Strong understanding of secondary mathematics pedagogy and assessment practices. Excellent communication and classroom management skills. Preferred Attributes Ability to adapt teaching for students from diverse linguistic and
