Brighton College Vietnam is looking to appoint a Key Stage 2 Teacher to join our team in August 2026.About the Role As part of our commitment to delivering outstanding education, we seek a dedicated teacher with the passion and expertise to nurture young learners in their formative years. Candidates with previous experience teaching Key Stage 2 would be ideal for this role. Report to: Head of Key Stage Two Specific Teaching Responsibilities To inspire, motivate pupils in the classroom. To be responsible for a class and be responsible for the quality of learning of pupils within his/her lessons. To teach all subjects except those taught by specialist teachers, according to school policies and schemes of work. To support the Prep Leadership Team in planning, teaching and learning and assessment. To positively encourage pupils to realise their full potential. To ensure all lessons are well planned and allow for effective differentiation for all groups of learners. To mark, assess, record and report on children’s progress and attainment in line with departmental and whole school expectations. To make use of standardised tests (where appropriate) in the monitoring of pupils’ progress. To create and maintain effective partnerships with parents to support and improve pupils’ achievements and personal development. To uphold the highest standards of pupil behaviour, manners and appearance. To liaise with the Prep Leadership Team and curriculum co-ordinators on all curriculum matters where appropriate. To ensure best possible practice within the year group and evaluate its effectiveness. To work closely with Teaching Assistants who are allocated to work within the year group. To liaise with other departments and year groups and maximise any opportunities for cross-curricular links. To celebrate pupils’ work through displays throughout the year group and around the school. To actively promote strong transition into school and between Key stages. To adapt learning to support for those pupils entering school for the first time and work with the KS2 team to further develop our school induction programmes. Additional Responsibilities To hold responsibility for a whole school area. This can be curriculum or pastoral. Please share your experiences and what you can offer. To assist with the marketing and admissions activities of the school, including Open Mornings, prospective parent events and assessment days. To liaise with other departments and maximise any opportunities for cross-curricular links. To attend Parents’ evenings where necessary and write reports. To take an active role in delivering after school clubs and activities. To support induction into School life for our youngest pupils. PERSON SPECIFICATION EXPERIENCE Teachers joining our school have a proven track record of outstanding teaching in previous roles.
