Help children flourish.Due to the exciting expansion of our Nursery to include two-year-olds from September 2026, Wellington School is seeking two enthusiastic and caring Nursery Practitioners to join our fantastic Early Years team.This is a wonderful opportunity for passionate Early Years professionals to play a key role in shaping children’s first experiences of education within a warm, ambitious and nurturing environment.Working within our purpose-designed Nursery spaces and outdoor learning areas, you will help create engaging, imaginative and joyful learning experiences where children feel safe, valued and excited to explore the world around them.We are seeking practitioners who can build strong relationships with children, parents and colleagues and who bring warmth, energy and positivity to every interaction. As a Level 3 qualified professional, you will have a genuine passion for supporting young children’s development through play, exploration and meaningful learning opportunities.Working alongside a supportive team led by the Head of Pre-Prep and supported by a Lead Practitioner, you will contribute to delivering outstanding Early Years provision whilst helping every child thrive socially, emotionally and developmentally.About the rolesThere are two part-time vacancies available, working 28.75 hours per week across 35 weeks of term time, plus an additional 6 weeks supporting our Nursery Holiday Club.Role 1:Monday – Friday, 7.45am – 1.30pmRole 2:Monday – Friday, 12.15pm – 6.00pmYou’ll bring:Primary teaching experience across KS2 (KS1 experience advantageous)The ability to teach a Modern Foreign Language to primary-aged childrenQualified Teacher Status and a relevant degreeStrong subject knowledge and demonstrable excellence in teaching and learningExperience of pastoral care within a high-functioning primary or prep environmentA collaborative mindset and the ability to manage and work effectively with Teaching AssistantsExcellent communication, organisation and time-management skillsConfidence using ICT and administrative systemsFlexibility, resilience and a positive, professional attitudeA commitment to safeguarding and working constructively with parents and guardiansYou will:Support children across the Nursery age range, including our new two-year-old provisionDeliver engaging, play-based educational activitiesObserve, monitor and support children’s development in line with the EYFS frameworkCreate a safe, nurturing and stimulating learning environmentBuild positive relationships with children, parents and colleaguesEncourage children’s independence, curiosity and confidenceContribute to a collaborative and supportive team cultureSupport the Nursery Holiday Club during non-term time weeksYou’ll bring:A Level 3 qualification in Early Years (essential)A genuine passion for working with young childrenKnowledge and understanding of the EYFS frameworkExcellent communication and teamwork skillsA flexible and positive approach, with willingness to work across Nursery age groupsThe ability to create engaging and nurturing learning experiencesA strong commitment to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenA Paediatric First Aid qualification is desirable, although training can be providedWhy Join Us: At Wellington School, you will join a welcoming and supportive community where children are at the heart of everything we do.We offer:A competitive salaryContributory Pension Scheme Fee remission (pro rata for part-time staff) for children attending Wellington SchoolFree school lunches during term time and free on-site parkingA strong commitment to professional developmentFor
