As our Nurture Teacher, you'll lead a small group of pupils with a range of social, emotional and behavioural needs, providing highly personalised support through a carefully structured and nurturing approach.
You'll create a classroom that feels safe, predictable and welcoming—a place where pupils can build trusting relationships, regulate emotions and experience success.Working closely with families, support staff and external professionals, you'll remove barriers to learning and empower pupils to achieve outcomes they may never have thought possible.Every interaction matters.

qualification.Experienced in supporting pupils with social, emotional and behavioural needs.Knowledgeable about nurture principles, attachment and child development.Skilled at building positive relationships with children, families and professionals.Creative, flexible and able to adapt learning to meet individual needs.Calm, resilient and confident managing behaviour through restorative approaches.Experienced in leading and supporting classroom staff.Committed to continuous professional development and reflective practice.Dedicated to safeguarding and promoting the wellbeing of children and young people.About UsBelmont Secondary School is an independent specialist school in Rawtenstall for boys aged 11–18 with SEMH needs, easily commutable from Bury, Burnley and surrounding areas.We provide a trauma-informed, nurturing environment where every pupil feels safe, understood, and supported.
