Meet the Principal in the UK in July: Science TeachersThis prestigious Auckland school is looking for exceptional Science Teachers (state your speciality) for positions starting January 2027, with the Principal travelling to conduct interviews in person in London (8/9th July) and Manchester (11/12th July). Online interviews may be scheduled after these dates for suitable applicants.Epsom Girls Grammar School is a school that strives for excellence: in performance, in the connections between people and in its pastoral supports. A large, secondary school for girls, they are located centrally in Auckland with a current role of 2,300 students. Their expert staff teach towards the national qualification NCEA, and starting this year also offer Cambridge International qualifications in some subject areas with this expected to grow over time. Headed by a Learning Area Director, the Science faculty is the largest in the school with thirty-one staff. Five Heads of department (Biology, Chemistry, Physics, Earth & Space and Junior Science) lead a staff of innovative educators with a passion for science education. Utilising state of the art facilities including specialist science laboratories, students work towards qualifications in NCEA at Levels 1-3 and Cambridge IGCSEs.You are:A qualified classroom teacher currently teaching 13 to 18 year old studentsAn excellent communicator and are able to build strong relationships with students, colleagues and the wider school communityA team player, valuing collaboration and a supportive teaching environmentHave a growth mindset, and are used to reflecting and refining your teaching practiceHave NZ Teacher registration or the ability to attain thisThe school has a large co-curricular programme of sports, visual and performing arts, cultural expression as well as charity and service opportunities. Staff are expected to take an active role in supporting the co-curricular programme of the school, by coaching or managing teams and groups.Full support will be provided for relocation and you may be eligible for a NZD$10,000 relocation grant.
