This is an exciting opportunity to work within a highly supportive and forward-thinking Inclusion team, supporting students to access the curriculum and reach their full potential.General Professional ResponsibilitiesThe professional duties of an Inclusion Teaching Assistant shall be deemed to include the following duties: Provide targeted in-class and small group support in Science and MathematicsSupport students with a range of additional learning needsWork closely with subject teachers and the Inclusion team to adapt and scaffold learningAssist in the implementation of individual education plans (IEPs)Promote student independence, confidence, and engagement in learningSupport with assessment preparation and coursework where requiredMaintaining good order and discipline among the students he/she is teaching. Participating in departmental meetings. Working as a member of a team in the shaping of departmental policy and practice.Participating in administrative and organisational tasks in order to ensure the smooth running of the department. Keeping up to date with curriculum innovation, participating in arrangements for CPD, contributing to his/her own professional development. Working collaboratively with support teachers in the classroom. Carrying out other tasks as reasonably directed by the Head of Department.
