In line with the recommendations listed in KCSiE 2025, these include basic online checks of shortlisted candidates’ social media presence and other internet-based public forums.Overall Purpose of JobThe Sous Chef supports the Director of Catering in delivering high-quality, nutritious meals for pupils, staff, and visitors while ensuring compliance with food safety, health and safety, and school catering standards. You will also be required to support with putting away deliveries, and assisting the Nursery Chef when required.What We Are Looking ForWe are seeking an individual with at least a level 1 or 2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate, who is reliable, punctual, has knowledge of food hygiene and kitchen safety standards as well as has experience of working in a busy kitchen environment.
