Support every performance.Are you highly organised, detail-focused, and able to thrive in a fast-paced environment where no two days are the same?Do you enjoy working as part of a team and being at the heart of a busy school community where your work has a direct impact on pupils’ experience?Wellington School is seeking a Sports Co-ordinator to join our Sport and Physical Health Department. This is a key operational role supporting the Director of Sport, Heads of Sport and Head of Prep Sport in the smooth delivery of an extensive and ambitious sports programme.About the roleYou will coordinate fixtures, events and co-curricular sport across the School, ensuring the smooth day-to-day running of all sporting activity.The role combines organisation, communication and hands-on involvement, including fixture scheduling, transport arrangements, risk assessments, communications and supervision of teams. You will also support Physical Health lessons and sporting events both home and away.Key responsibilities include:Coordinating fixtures and events using SOCS, including scheduling and updatesArranging transport, hospitality, risk assessments and competition entriesSupporting co-curricular sport, clubs and enrichment across Prep and Senior SchoolManaging communications with pupils, parents and staffSupporting timetabling, registers and Physical Health lesson administration (SOCS/iSAMS)Assisting with sports events, tours and trips (UK and overseas)Supporting supervision of teams and assisting with lessons when requiredAttending meetings and supporting departmental planning and updatesRequired Skills & Experience: The Sports Co-ordinator should be highly organised, efficient and have a demonstrable interest in sport. A genuine enthusiasm for working with young people is essential, as the role directly impacts pupils’ experience of Sport & Physical Health.The successful candidate will ideally have:A degree or equivalent qualification (e.g. Business or Sports-related discipline)Experience in an administrative or logistical role (desirable)Strong organisational, analytical and communication skillsConfidence working with pupils, parents and external stakeholdersThe ability to build positive relationships with young peopleA flexible, proactive and team-oriented approachDesirable: Coaching qualification (Level 2 or above) in a school sportDesirable: D1 driving licence (or willingness to work towards)Why Join Us: Wellington School is a vibrant, supportive community where sport plays a central role in school life.
