Whitgift School, a leading independent school on the outskirts of London, are looking for a team of inspirational and dynamic EFL teachers for their Summer School. The successful applicants should have a passion for student-centred teaching and learning as well as a creative approach to lessons. Earn £780 per week The course dates are 02 July – 16 August 2026. Details of Position As an EFL teacher you will need to have a passion for teaching as well as an imaginative and creative approach, with a focus on student-centred learning. You will be able to deliver engaging and inspiring teaching and learning using up to date resources. The ability to successfully integrate international students with native speaking students is essential. Classes have a maximum of 12 students, with 23 hours of English lessons per week. It is the responsibility of EFL Teachers to plan well-structured, well-paced, varied, innovative and enjoyable student-centred General English, British Culture, and project-based lessons. As well as exciting afternoon project-based lessons which integrate our native-speaking Student Hosts. It is every teachers duty to make sure students are studying at the correct level and undertake weekly progress checks in order to ensure students English is improving. Other duties include Undertaking all required administration duties related to the academic programme. Including writing weekly student progress reports and end of course reports Attending the end of week graduation ceremony to present certificates and reports to leaving students Attending and contributing to weekly all-staff meetings with the Course Director Attending and contributing to weekly CPD sessions delivered by the Director of Studies Undertaking other duties to assist with the day to day running of the summer school Teachers at the summer school report to the Director of Studies, who you will have daily course related meetings with. You need to have a high standard of professionalism, be able to work at a fast pace and cope efficiently with record keeping, other administrative duties and airport transfers as well as teaching.
