Job PurposeTo support the Physical & Health Education department in delivering an outstanding swimming provision (PreK to Grade 12)Role and Responsibilities – Coaching Plan, lead and promote swimming provision that increases participation in the sport – recreational, developmental and competitive – for boys and girls in all grades (competitive sports provision from Grade 2 for Lower & Upper Schools). Plan and deliver Lower School (PreK to Grade 5) swim lessons and inter-school House galas during school hours.Coordinate and enter swim teams and individuals for all DASSA and regional competitions and events, to include clear and timely communication with all parents and staff.Plan and deliver during school hours.Professional responsibilitiesRecognise the Spark of Genius in every child and endeavour to follow the Dwight vision, mission and pillars in every aspect of the role.Undertake relevant (safety) training and professional development as part of the role.Support school events and activities.Actively collaborate in the Dwight and IB community, which includes developing strong partnerships with all stakeholders, and the local and wider community.Any other reasonable duties and additional hours of work as assigned by the Head of Department or Head of School.The ideal candidate will: Be a competent, strong swimmer.Having a Swim England STA Level 2 swimming qualification is an advantageIdeally, have experience in a school setting.
