Mayatan accepts candidates from any background and life stage, though we strongly prefer applicants with teaching degrees, certification, and classroom experience in their subject area. Compensation and benefits: – Monthly stipend, provided housing, immigration assistance, and medical insurance. – Contracts require a minimum one-year commitment; extensions may be offered based on performance. Minimum teacher requirements: – Bachelor’s degree. – Experience teaching or tutoring in some capacity. – Demonstrated dedication to living and working abroad for at least one year (two years preferred). – Ability to commit to teaching K–12 for a minimum of one academic year. About working at Mayatan: Teaching at Mayatan is a full-time, professional commitment—not a vacation.
