Our students are at the centre of all that we do as a school.Our school is seeking to recruit an enthusiastic and motivated Teacher of English who can work in a team to deliver GCSE English Language and Literature, teaching students across KS3 and KS4.

The successful applicant will join a well-resourced school with a supportive staff team and small class sizes.The school achieves better results than the average for England and has a particularly strong English department.

Teaching loads are less than schools in England to allow for collaborative working, supported by weekly CPD.

Links are strong with the primary feeder school which supports student progression.We are seeking to recruit a Teacher of English who:• Is a graduate teacher with Qualified Teacher Status (recognisable in UK) who has completed their ECF induction and has three years experience teaching.• Is focused on teaching and learning, helping students achieve high levels of progress in a positive and effective learning environment.• Is able to contribute to pastoral life and extra curricular opportunities.• Can plan suitable curricular for students, adapting as needed, and is able to be self-directed in determining how to best support students.• Can direct and support learning support staff as needed for the best outcomes for students.• Works well in a team and with other adults, and can utilise external support effectively.• Is flexible, positive, and motivated.The Package:• A stimulating and supportive working environment in a small school with the flexibility to truly tailor the curriculum and provision for students.

Salary

  • up to £46,244 for teachers with 5+ years experience• Eligibility for a 25% gratuity payable upon successful completion of the
