We are seeking a dedicated professional to join our Mathematics team for a full-time maternity cover for the 2026-2027 school year. You will benefit from a supportive, multicultural environment while delivering high-quality, rigorous instruction to a diverse and inquisitive student body.About the roleAs a Mathematics teacher at ISH, you will engage with a diverse student body, fostering academic excellence through differentiated instruction and global perspectives. You will:Design and deliver engaging lessons that align with IB frameworks, using a variety of teaching strategies to meet the needs of all learners and spark mathematical curiosity.Monitor, assess, and report on student progress while maintaining high standards of behaviour and a positive classroom culture.Collaborate with a talented department to share best practices and contribute to innovative pedagogical planning.Build strong, effective relationships with students, parents and colleagues.Why join ISH?We believe that great teaching starts with a strong team. As a valued member of our team, you’ll enjoy:A supportive, inclusive staff culture that genuinely values wellbeing and work-life balance.A firm commitment to your ongoing professional growth and career development.The chance to work in a forward-thinking school that celebrates international mindedness.Who are we looking for?The ideal candidate aligns with the ISH Community Profile and thrives in a high-demand, inquiry-based learning environment.Essential qualifications and experienceA Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Mathematics (or a closely related field).An official teaching qualification for Mathematics.A minimum of 2 years of successful full-time Mathematics teaching experience in secondary school.Strong command of English, both spoken and written, as the language of instruction and communication.Candidates must have the right to work in the Netherlands independently, as we are unable to provide visa sponsorship for this temporary position.PreferredFive or more years of teaching experience, ideally in international or intercultural settings.Experience teaching Mathematics within the IB MYP and/or IB DP/CP frameworks.Familiarity with international school settings and culturally diverse student populations.A student-centred, inquiry-based approach to teaching and learning.A proactive and reflective attitude toward professional development.We offerThis is a temporary 12 month appointment, to cover maternity leave and is based on the Dutch Collective Labor Agreement (CAO) for Secondary Education,The full-time position is based on 40 hours per week i.e 1.0FTE.The appointed person will start on 1 August 2026.Work-life balance and generous
