I speak English (Sestu) is an established, busy English Language School in the suburbs of Cagliari. We are currently recruiting a full-time English language teacher for academic year 2026/27 who can teach both young learners and adults. Our courses are complemented by a range of extra services such as conversation classes, grammar video lessons, catch-up lessons, email in English and multimedia resources in order to give students the most complete service possible. Best practices for teachers are promoted by the school through an initial induction as well as ongoing professional development in the form of regular workshops, observations, meetings and appraisals. We teach English to people of all ages, from pre-school to adults, and to all levels (A1-C2 Common European Framework) in-house and online. The school provides courses of General English, International Exam Preparation and ESP. In addition, we are also an accredited Pearson Test Centre (PTE centre no. 80018) as well as Cambridge Exam Preparation Centre so teachers can also gain valuable experience in this area. The school is also an AISLi member (associazione italiana scuole di lingue), certifying excellent operating standards and conditions for teachers. Qualifications Cambridge CELTA Important: applications which do not fulfil these requirements will not be acknowledged. EU citizen OR ALREADY in possession of permesso di soggiorno or visa to work in Italy Native or Native-level speaker University graduate CELTA/TEFL/TESOL teaching qualification The ideal candidate will: already have experience working abroad (preferably Italy) and be comfortable relocating to and living in Italy possess at least 2 full years of experience in an English language school teaching young learners and adults (preferably in Italy) and be able to provide necessary references have experience with and enjoy teaching Young learners have excellent interpersonal skills and a friendly but professional approach to the role be enthusiastic, flexible, responsive, hard-working and reliable The successful teacher will, with the aid of a core text book, be able to plan and prepare interesting, engaging and above all, learner-centred, communicative lessons for students of all ages. Salary and Benefits The role foresees the permanent Italian contract (contratto a tempo indeterminato). Remuneration and benefits Fully comprehensive permanent contract with social security payments in Italy 23-25 teaching hours per week Monthly remuneration package up to 1600-1700 euros for 25 hours per week inclusive of 13a and TFR (severance pay, one extra month’s pay per year of service). Start: immediate Initial period: Mid-September to end June, extendable on mutual agreement into the summer and following school year Paid holidays (ferie e permessi): public holidays plus 2 weeks at Christmas, 1 full week at Easter.
