About the schoolRichmond Park School is an exciting new project located in a highly attractive residential area well connected to the centre of Madrid. The school opened with Early Years and Primary in September 2019 and is led by two highly experienced leaders of education for Primary and Secondary, supported by a strong private company with a vast experience of British education in Spain. As planned, the school is growing substantially. Early Years through to Year 6 are already at full capacity with three classes per year group. The Secondary section has two classes per year group and will extend to three classes year by year as the lower classes move up. An exciting new phase began in September 2022 when students inaugurated the modern and spacious secondary building. Our Year 11 cohorts have achieved excellent IGCSEs results and the school introduced the International Baccalaureate Diploma for our Year 12 and 13 students, following a successful authorisation process. A large and exciting brand new International Baccalaureate Centre with superb facilities opened in September 2025. Music has its own dedicated rooms and the use of our Performance Centre.The school focuses on the academic and holistic development of each pupil. Our broad curriculum, further extended through co-curricular projects and experiences, empowers all pupils to fulfil their potential through acquiring high-level knowledge, deep understanding, and extensive skills. Pupils become creative, independent, and reflective thinkers and effective communicators. Music, creativity and performance are valued in the school. Equally important, core moral and ethical values, such as respect, kindness, and integrity, underpin the educational process. We aspire for our pupils to be generous and supportive, developing a deep commitment to social and environmental action.Richmond Park School provides a learning environment which is tranquil, but also stimulating. We are a modern, forward-thinking school and we are committed to develop the digital, communication and thinking skills the pupils will need to be successful in the future.We are seeking a Secondary teacher of Music, with the ability to teach to IGCSE and possibly in time extend into IB Level. We will offer training to teachers who have not taught IB Diploma subjects previously. The ability to offer a second subject, or contribute to the CAS or TOK programme in IB would be an advantage. Key Aspects of Job Profile:Hold a UK recognised teaching qualificationBe a team player with excellent subject knowledge and ability to teach MusicTo be familiar with Microsoft products such as Co Pilot, Teams, Class Notebook and Assignments.To speak and write fluent English at the level of a first language communicatorTo have evidence of recent, successful teaching experience of the English National CurriculumTo be committed to continuous professional development and to creating fresh opportunities for learning What the school can offer:You will have
