SEND Interventions Assistant – Heckington House School, East Heckington, Lincolnshire, PE20 3QF £26,228 – £27,593 | Full Time (37.5 hours/week) Purpose of the RoleTo work directly in the classroom to deliver tailored 1:1 interventions and targeted support for children with Special Educational Needs and Disabilities (SEND) andEducation, Health and Care Plans (EHCP). By expertly implementing bespoke strategies, you will remove barriers to learning, foster independence, and ensure every child is empowered to make meaningful academic and personal progress. In addition, you will assist teachers in delivering education and care to pupils with complex needs and challenging behaviours. At Heckington House SchoolWe offer specialist provision for students with SEMH and those who have found mainstream education difficult. Our facilities include small, nurturing classrooms fully equipped with smart boards to facilitate learning. We provide vocational subjects such as Hair and Beauty and Construction alongside traditional curriculum areas. Our class sizes are based on a model of 4 students to 2 adults enabling us to provide a trauma led approach to both pastoral support and educational progress. We will offer you the chance to make a real difference to young people and give you the time to plan to meet the needs of a small group of students. Key Responsibilities· Support pupils with autism, ADHD, speech and language needs, and behavioural challenges while delivering targeted interventions record data for colleagues· Collaborate with the School SENDCo delivering interventions and classroom support under guidance of SENDCO and Assistant SENDCO and EHCP outcomes· Work closely with teaching staff, welfare teams, clinical professionals, and external professionals· Assist pupils with learning activities, adapting support to individual needs under teacher guidance encouraging pupil engagement and independence in learning tasks· Support record-keeping and monitoring of pupil progress as directed· Assist pupils’ social, emotional, and behavioural development using trauma-informed approaches and participate in training on trauma-informed and therapeutic approaches· The postholder will actively promote and embed the EPIC values (Excellence, Passion, Integrity, Caring) in all aspects of their work and adhere strictly to the Staff Code of Conduct to create a safe, respectful, and nurturing environment that promotes pupil wellbeing and achievement· Ensure compliance with Independent School Standards and all relevant health and safety regulations Requirements· A committed and passionate view of students with SEND and SEMH· At least two years’ experience minimum of working in a SEND environment or similar unit/provision· A level 3 TA qualification is advantageous Benefits of Joining Keys Group· NEST enhanced pension scheme· Staff Referral Scheme – Refer a friend to join Keys Group and split a £500 referral bonus between you· Enhanced maternity and paternity pay· Access to a blue light discount card · Fully funded training and qualifications for all colleagues· Enhanced pay scales based on experience and qualifications· Employee benefits scheme such as wellbeing app and a range of discounts · Life assurance Commitment to Equality and Armed Forces CovenantKeys Group is proud to be an Equal Opportunities Employer.
