Site Assistant – Site TeamNewbury Park Primary SchoolNewbury Park Primary School is a welcoming and inclusive school at the heart of the community, committed to providing a safe, secure and supportive environment for all pupils. We are seeking to appoint a reliable, proactive and skilled Site Assistant to join our dedicated Site Team.This is an important role supporting the day-to-day running of the school site. Working under the direction of the Site Manager, you will help ensure that the premises are safe, secure, clean and well-maintained for pupils, staff and visitors.Position DetailsContract: Permanent, Full-TimeHours: 30 hours per week, term time plus 6 weeksReporting to: Site ManagerMinimum Experience: 3 years in a similar roleKey ResponsibilitiesSupport the security of the school site, including locking and unlocking buildings and gatesCarry out routine maintenance and minor repairs across the premisesMaintain high standards of cleanliness internally and externally, including groundsAssist with setting up and clearing spaces for school events and activitiesMonitor building systems such as heating, lighting and plumbing, reporting issues promptlySupport grounds maintenance, including seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance and grittingSkills and ExperienceA minimum of 3 years’ experience in a caretaking, site or maintenance rolePractical skills in general maintenance and basic repairsAbility to use tools and equipment safely and effectivelyGood organisational skills and attention to detailPhysically able to undertake manual tasks associated with the roleReliable, punctual and able to work independently and as part of a teamValues and AttributesCommitment to maintaining a safe, secure and welcoming environmentProactive and solution-focused approachPositive and collaborative attitudeProfessional and respectful communicationAlignment with the school’s values of compassion, courage, curiosity, creativity and collaborationWhy join usA supportive and friendly staff teamA well-maintained and vibrant school environmentOpportunities for training and developmentThe chance to play a key role in the smooth running of a busy and successful schoolIf you have experience in maintaining school or similar environments and take pride in your work, we would welcome your application.Newbury Park Primary School is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children.
