The Emerald Cultural Institute is looking for dynamic, enthusiastic and diligent staff to work in our junior residential summer programmes in the UK (Chelmsford, Ascot, Woking and Sidcup). Our courses are well run and have a great reputation in market for taking excellent care of our students aged 12 -18 years. We have a vacancies for Residential and non-residential teachers in all four centres with start dates of late June & early July. Teachers will teach English classes of maximum 15 students in well equipped classrooms (all have internet access). They teach 15 hours a week (Mon-Weds & Fri-Sat) and residential teachers are involved in the activity and excursion programme which runs in the afternoons and evenings. All residential staff have one day off per week. All residential posts include free full board accommodation. We have vacancies for residential and non-residential teachers. Positions are available for between 1 and 4 weeks in July/early August in the UK. Please state clearly the minimum number of weeks you would accept upon application. ECI is committed to safer recruitment and requires all staff members to have read and understood our Child Safeguarding Policy (a copy will be sent to all successful candidates). Please also note: All references will be followed up Reference requests will ask specifically whether there is any reason why you should not be employed in situations where you have responsibility for or substantial contact with persons under the age of 18. You will also be required to sign a statement in your conditions of employment confirming the same. An appropriate DBS disclosure will be applied for at the expense of the school if you do not already possess one. Qualifications TEFL Certificate Teachers CELTA qualified (or equivalent) A University degree. QTS in Primary or Languages Excellent classroom management Previous summer school experience an advantage Salary and Benefits £545 – £800 / week ≈ $734–$1,077 / €630–€925 Holiday pay paid at end of contract Accommodation Holiday pay Meals Paid DBS Centre Director – £800 pw (£896.56 inc holiday pay) Director of Studies – £720pw (£806.90 inc holiday pay) Residential teachers -£545 pw (£610.78 pw inc holiday pay) Full board accommodation provided at no extra cost for all residential staff in UK. Non-res teachers £17.50 – £19.61 ph + holiday pay
