The Dragon seeks to appoint an outstanding teacher of Drama to Years 4 to 8 who will be willing to make a wide contribution to the life of this busy, exciting and successful school. The Drama Department is a thriving part of school life, with extremely high levels of engagement from pupils, staff and parents. This includes three major school productions a year with average audiences of 1,000+ per production, tours to the Edinburgh Fringe Festival and many other opportunities.All staff contribute to the extra-curricular programme (including Activities, Clubs & Quest) and/or Sport. The school is large enough for a great variety of cultural and academic interests to be welcomed and to provide ample opportunities for further career progression within the school.The Dragon is non-selective on admission and prides itself on outstanding academic, pastoral and cocurricular outcomes for pupils in its pre-preparatory department, Dragon Pre-Prep, (for pupils aged 4-7 years) and in its preparatory department (8-13 years).Reports to: Charlie Ponder, Director of Drama
