Teacher of Learning Support

Part time (0.4 FTE approx.)The learning support department works with pupils across the full age range from Year 7 to Upper Sixth. All lessons are taught on an individual, 1:1 basis. Pupils receive bespoke support tailored to meet a range of specific learning needs.The department consists of the head of learning support, two further learning support teachers and a learning support assistant. It has a close working relationshipwith a specialist teacher assessor, who visits school regularly.The department works in collaboration with colleagues from all subject departments, boarding house staff, and with the examinations office, school health centre, counsellors and counselling psychologist.The successful candidate will be required to teach across the key stages and should be confident in working with pupils of different ages, including those working towards I/GCSE and A-level public examinations.Teachers are responsible for ensuring high standards of learning and achievement for all pupils they teach and are expected to play a full part in the life of the school.
