You’ll provide tailored, hands-on support to pupils with complex learning needs, helping them engage with learning, build confidence, and develop independence.Working closely with teachers and our multi-disciplinary team, you’ll help create a safe, inclusive and inspiring learning environment where every pupil can thrive academically, socially, and emotionally.What you will be doingSupport the class teacher/tutor in delivering high-quality, engaging educationProvide personalised 1:1 and small group support to help pupils access the curriculumPromote pupils’ physical, educational, and personal developmentAssist in implementing policies, procedures, and individual learning plansHelp organise learning environments suited to students with autismContribute to writing and reviewing BSPs, Risk Assessments, IEPs, Communication Profiles and Pastoral Support PlansSupport safe learning both on-site and during off-site activitiesPrepare resources and teaching aids as requiredPlay an active role within our supportive multi-professional teamWhat you will bringExperience supporting pupils with special educational needs, particularly autismStrong communication, teamwork, and organisational skillsPatient, adaptable, and proactive with a positive mindsetCommitted to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of childrenAbout UsMeadowcroft School is an independent specialist day school across four sites in Wakefield, supporting pupils with complex SEMH needs and additional learning difficulties.
