You’ll play a vital role in helping pupils with SEND and complex needs develop the confidence, skills and independence they need to thrive both in school and beyond.This is more than a job – it’s an opportunity to build meaningful relationships, inspire progress and make a lasting impact on young lives.What You’ll Be DoingSupporting pupils with SEND and complex needs to access learning and achieve their individual goals.Working alongside teachers to deliver engaging, personalised learning experiences.Providing one-to-one and small group support across classroom, outdoor and enrichment activities.Supporting pupils’ emotional wellbeing, behaviour and social development.Encouraging independence, communication and positive relationships.Helping create a safe, nurturing and inclusive learning environment.Preparing resources and assisting with classroom activities and interventions.Working collaboratively with colleagues, families and professionals to achieve the best outcomes for pupils.About YouWe’re looking for someone who:Holds GCSE English and Maths at Grade 4/C or above (or equivalent).Is caring, patient and passionate about supporting children and young people with additional needs.Builds positive, trusting relationships with pupils, families and colleagues.Is resilient, adaptable and able to remain positive in a dynamic environment.Enjoys working as part of a collaborative and supportive team.Has strong communication and interpersonal skills.Is flexible and enthusiastic about supporting learning in a variety of settings.Is committed to safeguarding and promoting the welfare of children and young people.About Acorn Park SchoolAcorn Park School is an independent specialist school in rural Norfolk supporting autistic children and young people aged 4–19.
